Started running in the last month after a week off because I was sick my knee started hurting?
It only hurts when I run but it has started to give out when I walk. I started running to keep a hip active to decrease pain and for an lung strengthener (because of a accident) under doctors orders. Its been working my lungs have felt great and returned to normal health and my hip is pain free after months of pain. But Friday I went for the first run in a week due to a slight fever and my knee was in horrible pain when I was running. And since then it has given out while walking or climbing stairs than ever before. Is this a start of a problem? There is no pain while just walking so I don't think it is serious.
Oh and after running everyday for a month why haven't I lost any weight? I'm a swimmer so I hardly have done weight bearing exercise (running, weight lifting,ect) for almost 5 months because of pain in the hip just swimming.
You should take at least one day a week off from running, otherwise you will have pain. If your body fat is between 16 and 23 percent you do not need to lose any weight. If you need to lose weight then you also need to reduce your food intake a little for 1 to 2 pounds a week aerage weight loss. The first month you usually do not lose any weight, at least, that is what my wifes weight loss chart shows.
